Frequently Asked Questions

You can shop for products by either browsing our product categories or performing a search for item you're after. You can search from any page by typing all or part of the product name you're interested in into the search box (in the top center of the screen above the menu navigation bar).

Once you find a product you're interested in just click "add to cart". Each "add to cart" button also contains a drop-down menu that allows you to add more of each item to your cart. If you want to purchase more than 6 of an item you can increase this quantity from the shopping cart page (either click "view cart" after adding an item to your cart or click the "view cart" link at the top right of each page).

How do I find the products I need on the eChemist website?

-Yes. Although, by law we are not allowed to dispense a prescription medicine unless we have received a prescription for that medicine, written by a medical practitioner registered in Kenya. Therefore, if ordering a prescription item online, an original prescription must be sent to Discount Chemist by email to for that item. (Please note: an order number will be generated upon finalising your order. Please write the number on the back of each of the prescriptions that you email to you can also use our Whatsapp number - 0727297703. This is to ensure that your order is processed without delay). 
- There are restrictions regarding products that can be ordered online and these include refrigerated items.

Can I order my prescriptions online?

Shipment timings for Kenya region only; working days Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm,
Deliveries same working day for morning purchases (purchases made before 12:00pm Africa/Nairobi Time)
Deliveries next working day for afternoon purchases (purchases made after 12:00pm Africa/Nairobi Time)

What is your stand in terms of shipping and handling of ordered packages?

Ordering methods include: Online checkout purchase using shopping cart; Phone call by calling office lines (+254727297703) between Monday and Friday 8am to 5pm; Contact by Email through; or just drop by in person at Nanak Chemist, along Chiromo Lane, Westlands, Kenya.

Payment options: Online orders can be paid by credit card, debit card. We accept the following credit cards: VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. We also accept most bank VISA or MasterCard debit cards. Orders sent via mail can be paid by credit card, cashier’s check or money order. All cards will be processed through PayPal. You can also pay using our Safaricom Mpesa Till Number 903754.

What are your ordering methods and payment options if someone wants to make a purchase?

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information unless we provide you with advance notice, except as described below. The term "outside parties" does not include Nanak Chemist. It also does not include website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property, or safety.

However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

The information collect from us, do you share it with anyone?

Goods once sold cannot be refunded nor can it be exchanged for money or any other item or service. In addition, if your item is returned by the shipping company due to non-pickup or refusal, we will ship the order to you again for additional shipping costs.

If I don’t like what I have bought, is it possible to return it or even get a refund for something else in the shop worth the same price?

Yes the website uses cookies and No they are not harmful. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the site’s or service provider’s systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. For instance, we use cookies to help us remember and process the items in your shopping cart.
